Welsh actor MATTHEW RHYS has GEORGE CLOONEY to thank for his U.S. roles - because he studied the movie star's voice to perfect his American accent.
Rhys auditioned for a leading role in hit TV drama Brothers & Sisters, but feared his accent would let him down, so he went to 'Clooney voice school'.
The 35-year-old resorted to studying tapes of his Hollywood idol, Clooney, and channelled the star.
He explains, "For the audition of Brothers & Sisters, I listened and listened to George Clooney as much as possible. If you're going to impersonate somebody, you might as well go to the top." (JMA/WNVVW/KL)
