Producers Appeal Streep Movie's R Rating
The producers of MERYL STREEP's new movie IT'S COMPLICATED, which brings Oscars co-hosts STEVE MARTIN and ALEC BALDWIN together as love rivals, are to appeal an `R' rating classification in America. Officials at the MPAA's Classification and Rating Administration have ruled film fans under the age of 17 won't be able to see the movie without a consenting adult because of "some drug content and sexuality". But producers feel the picture has been dealt with too harshly and the R could effect any Oscar hopes - and they're seeking a softer rating by appeal. The film is due for release on 10 December (09).
