After the recent baby shower for the very pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears, the 17-year-old Zoey 101 star spent the weekend at Liberty, Mississippi to attend to another baby bash, this time with mostly the Aldridge clan.  The first May 3 bash was spent with the Spears family and was the venue for Jamie Lynn and big sister Britney to reunite after a few months apart.  Despite being an Aldridge party, this Saturday’s event was spent without the 19-year-old dad-to-be and Jamie Lynn’s fiancé, Casey.  Now that Jamie Lynn’s due date is drawing near, big sis Britney is promising to be there for her sister, claiming that she is considering moving back to their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana to witness Jamie Lynn’s childbirth.

“At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time,” a close friend of the Spears family told E!.  “I'm not sure how Casey is going to feel about that.  But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited.”

However, it seems that Britney’s got her wings clipped as of the moment.  With all the controversy surrounding her parenthood to her two toddlers and her mismanagement of personal funds, the troubled pop star has to ask permission from her father, Jamie Spears, who was also previously given the power by the court to handle Britney’s finances.

“He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it,” a family friend said.  “It's not that he doesn't want her there for her little sister.  It's just that he thinks it's best to keep Britney close to home right now.”

It seems like Britney’s presence isn’t the only thing that the Spears family have to deal with.  In fact, Jamie Lynn is now being pressured by her mother, Lynne to head to the altar.  Jamie Lynn recently showed us her engagement ring, but it seems that she hasn’t made up her mind about the actual marriage.  It’ll be a full year before Jamie Lynn becomes of legal age, and she’ll have ample time to decide on the marriage.

“Jamie Lynn is having a shotgun wedding, and it’s Lynne who is holding the shotgun!” a family insider said, TransWorld News reports. “Lynne is determined not to let her younger daughter be a single mother.”

On the other hand, Jamie Lynn seems to want to take it a step at a time.

“Jamie Lynn really likes Casey, but even she feels she's a little young to be getting married,” said a family friend. “He's a good country boy who Lynne hopes will be a steadying influence on her daughter.”

Most importantly, the two are committed to being new parents as a couple.

“They're committed to each other and anxious to be the best parents they can possibly be, and also the best husband and wife they can be to each other,” Jamie Lynn’s friend told People last month.
