Jamie Lynn Spears, star of Nickelodeon's
Zoey 101, has been named one of
Us Magazine's Hot Hollywood Power Players of 2007.
In its latest issue, the magazine deemed the 16-year-old actress as “The High School Sweetheart.” Spears is joined on the list by other young Hollywood celebrities like
Miley Cyrus (
Hannah Montana),
Amanda Bynes (
What I Like About You),
Vanessa Anne Hudgens (
High School Musical), Chris Brown and
Jordin Sparks (
American Idol), as well as industry veterans like Mary J. Blige,
Angie Harmon (
Law & Order, Women's Murder Club) and
Charlie Sheen (
Two and a Half Men).
Other celebrities that made the cut include
Jesse Spencer (
House),
Becki Newton (
Ugly Betty),
Lauren Conrad (
The Hills), Zac Levi (
Chuck) and the entire cast of NBC's
Heroes.
Jamie Lynn Spears made her television debut on Nickelodeon's tween variety show,
All That. She has also worked on a few projects with big sister, Britney Spears, including the 2002 film
Crossroads, wherein she played the younger version of Britney's character, Lucy.
In 2005, Spears began appearing on the Nickelodeon teen series,
Zoey 101, wherein she plays the titular role of Zoey Brooks. The show's other cast members are

Paul Butcher.
Zoey 101 is currently on its fourth season on Nickelodeon. The opening episode, which aired on Sunday, September 16, drew an all-time high of 3 million viewers. The success of the series has prompted Jamie Lynn Spears to consider expanding her big screen repertoire.
"I'd love to do a movie," Spears told
Us. "I want somebody to look at me and say, 'Wow, she's a really good actress.'"
Fans can catch new episodes of
Zoey 101 every Sunday at 8pm. Additionally,
Zoey 101: Field Trip Fiasco for the Nintendo DS™ is now available in stores throughout North America. This is the second show-based game released by THQ Inc. this year, with the first being for the Game Boy® Advance. The DS game retails for $29.99.
