After news of yet another pregnancy spread like wildfire last week, the camp of the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 star Jamie Lynn Spears has categorically denied rumors that she was carrying her second child less than four months after she gave birth to little Maddie Bryann.  The teen sister of pop princess Britney Spears gave birth to her and fiancé Casey Aldridge's first child on June 19.

"I was with Lynne (Spears, her mom) all day today and she thinks it's totally ridiculous," a source told Fox News.  "I can tell you that the pregnancy rumor is just that - a rumor. There is no truth to it at all."

Earlier, Spears' PR person has shot down the pregnancy reports, adding that "It is pathetic for the National Enquirer to attempt to create a wholly baseless rumor that Ms. Spears is pregnant, so it can run a malicious story and false story which would be emotionally devastating to a morally upright teenage girl.”

While some may have something to say about Spears being a “morally upright” girl, Fox News said their source was a very close friend of the Spears family, and he or she downright refuted the rumors.

The National Enquirer sparked a frenzy last week when it reported that the Zoey 101 star was “about eight weeks” pregnant, news that had her and mom Lynne “hysterical.”

“Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they're trying to keep the news from getting out.  Jamie Lynn believed she couldn't get pregnant while she was breast-feeding.  She'd expected to have her period by early September, but a home pregnancy test came back positive and Jamie Lynn cried her eyes out.”

Reportedly, mommy Spears was livid because the little Spears didn't learn her lesson.

Emmy-nominated Zoey 101 went on air from 2005 and ran four seasons until May, 2008.  Britney Spears co-wrote its theme song “Follow Me.”
