All three children live with their stern disciplinary father, Jerry, who also heads the Wizard Class when he's not busy managing the restaurant, Waverly Sub Station, and their eccentric mother, Theresa.
Fans can expect a lot of sibling rivalry to take place given that these kids can figure out that they can use their magic for anything from household chores to covering up their mess before their parents catches them to getting even with each other.
Playing protagonist Alex Russo is
Selena Gomez, who is credited for her guest appearance on another successful Disney series,
Hannah Montana, as Mikayla. She has also worked on
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. Besides being an actress, Gomez has a career as a singer and has recorded three songs for Walt Disney Records and sang several songs while on
Barney & Friends along side with her
Barney co-star and friend Demi Lovato(
Camp Rock).
Joining Gomez on
Wizards of Waverly Place are
David Henrie as Justin Russo,
Jake T. Austin as Max Russo,
Jennifer Stone as Harper Evans,
