And If Alex's Parents Never Met... 'Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie' Premieres Tonight
Friday, August 28, 2009
Uh-oh, Alex, what have you done again?
It's about time that Wizards of Waverly Place--admittedly the only Disney Channel series that I watch--gets a movie, at least on the telly, and while the series always sees Alex (Selena Gomez), Justin (David Henrie) and Max (Jake T. Austin) get into some sort of trouble thanks to their magic, this time, the stake couldn't be, well, bigger.
The Russos head to a Carribean holiday on Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, which premieres tonight from 8pm on the Disney Channel. And it holds much significance for the parents, with Theresa (Maria Canals-Barrera) and Jerry (David DeLuise) touring everyone around the spots where they first met. But Alex is having a mean streak--let's just say she feels a little too squeezed, not wanting to go, and not being given a chance to, I don't know, frolic and have fun?
To keep a long story short, she wishes that her parents never met. A spell gets triggered and, well, it is trouble again. With Jerry getting his powers back and the kids' existence already in question, they have to get their parents back before it's too late, and the key might be the so-called Stone of Dreams, which is in the hands of local street performer Archie (Steve Valentine).
But, of course, not after a few swings through their vacation spot, and Alex wearing this odd-looking purple suit, or so I think will happen.
Again, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie premieres tonight from 8pm on the Disney Channel. If you don't catch it the first time, expect loads of reruns.
