Born Debra Lynn Messing on August 15, 1968 in New York City, Debra Messing is of Jewish American descent. Her parents are Brian and Sandra, a sales executive for a jewelry manufacturer and professional singer, banker, travel and real estate agent respectively. When she was three, her family moved to East Greenwich. She was active in school plays during her schooling years, participating through singing and acting. She also took lessons on dancing, singing and acting. She was educated in Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and joined a London-based British European Studio Group program where she founded her dream of becoming an actress. She soon graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater arts and was admitted to the Graduate Acting Program at the New York University. Her movies include

Open Season. She has won an Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2003, and a Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2001. She has more than ten nominations for different categories in Golden Globe awards, Emmy awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and Teen Choice Awards, collectively.

Will & Grace. Grace was born on April 26, 1967, in Schenectady, New York and has a reputation for turning her boyfriends into gay men. This happened twice in her life and she believes that it will happen again. Aside from Will, she has a close relationship with her secretary, Karen Walker, an alcoholic socialite. Though Grace has a lot to be thankful for to Karen, she doesn't like it when Karen criticizes her breast size which is a lot smaller than Karen's. Grace always strives to be right and would always stand up for it.
