Sci-Fi's reality show,
Who Wants to be a Superhero? returns for its second season Thursday, July 26th at 9pm ET/PT, featuring a brand new league of superheroes competing for immortality with their own comic book and action figure.
The ten contestants, who were revealed this week, will live together in a secret lair under the watchful eye of
Stan Lee, creator and inventor of the modern superhero. These defenders of truth and justice will go against Dr. Dark, a new masked nemesis who will be tormenting Stan and the superheroes throughout the season. The twist is, no one will know the identity of Dr. Dark until the season finale.
In addition to winning immorality in a new comic book from Dark Horse Comics, this year's winner will also see his or her superhero character turned into an action figure by Shocker Toys.
Last summer's superhero
Feedback, by Matther Atherton, was dubbed "the next great superhero" by Stan Lee, beating out the rest of the contestants, receiving his own comic book and a starring role in a Sci-Fi movie. Feedback's power was that he was able to disrupt electrical equipment and was able to receive powers from playing video games.

Basura enlists the help of all bugs everywhere and uses her mystical powers to turn trash into treasures.
Braid makes herself any age, race, or gender and can turn her hair into crime-busting tentacles.
The Defuser is an expert paramilitary superhero who uses non-violent weaponry to stop villains. He has the unique ability to function at 110 percent.
Hygena fights crime and grime making weapons from all types of cleaning utensils.
Hyper-Strike is a martial arts expert with super strength and agility and he can project his Chi (life force) through his hands.
Mindset is a telekinetic time traveler on a mission to end all war. Originally named Omnicron, Mindset is the viewers' choice on the show winning his place by Internet voters earlier this year.
Mr. Mitzvah is real life Bruce Wayne who lives in a castle, this multi-millionaire's mission, under the guise of Mr. Mitzvah, is to save the lives of children.
Ms. Limelight is a captivating blonde caped-crusader absorbs the powers of action stars on TV and in movies.
Parthenon is an archaeologist who gets his mystical powers from an ancient gauntlet he discovered in Greece
Whip-Snap has a mastery of the whip and if her bare skin touches a villain that villain is turned into sand.
The 8-episode series will air Thursdays 9pm ET/PT on Sci-Fi.
