White Collar season 4 continues on Tuesday, January 29 with an episode called "Brass Tacks." From the synopsis and preview, it looks like Neal's not going to be the only in danger in this one.
First up, let's take a look at the official synopsis for the episode:
Peter and Neal begin their investigation into Senator Pratt's involvement with a ring of corrupt cops who framed Neal's father and tore his family apart. They soon find a connection between the Senator and a crooked real estate developer who is running a kickback scheme.
One interesting fact that's missing from the synopsis is the fact that Senator Pratt will be played by Titus Welliver of Lost fame. Well, maybe that's just interesting to me because I loved him on that show.
Now let's have a look at the preview for the episode.
In the preview, we see that Peter and Neal are apparently continuing to work well together and now they're ready to take on a "giant" together. That would be Senator Pratt, but as it turns out their newest enemy wasn't always a Senator. It seems he was also a cop back in the day and may even be one of the dirty cops that Ellen and Neal's father were after.
This is where things start to sound dangerous. First, we see that the Senator is anything but afraid of Neal and Peter. We also see that Neal seems to be on the run
(in a gorgeous blue suit, I might add -- though again that may only be interesting to me). But perhaps the scariest moment comes when Neal and Diana are on the phone with Peter and he tells them that his brakes aren't working and, gasp!, gets into a care accident.
Honestly I'm not too frightened for Peter, since this show is a master at giving us teasers like that only to have the person be perfectly fine. Then again, USA Network has been upping their game recently and after I said the same thing about their Christmas episode of Royal Pains, they went and hurt poor Hank pretty badly. So I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
What do you think after reading the synopsis and watching the preview for this episode of White Collar? Do you think that Peter is really in danger? How are you liking the storyline involving Neal's father and the corrupt cops?
White Collar airs on Tuesday nights at 10pm on USA Network.
