Jewish-American actress Leslie Grossman was born on October 25, 1971 in Los Angeles, California. As a teen, she directed plays at the Crossroads School, a high school for the performing arts. Lauren is played by Leslie Grossman in the television comedy series What I Like About You. Valerie Tyler’s best friend and sometime rival at work, Lauren competes with Val for a promotion from their boss Vic. Sometime in the past, Lauren was arrested for knocking over a Laundromat after being convinced by an ex-boyfriend to do so. She was also engaged to a doctor at one point, though the engagement got broken off She also gets into an online relationship and is surprised to find out that it’s with Valerie’s ex-fiancé Rick, though in the middle of them having sex he gets a heart attack. At the very end of the series, she gets together with a firefighter named Marcus.
