Mary-Louise Parker Biography:

Mary-Louise, who is a native of Fort Jackson, South Carolina, was born on August 2, 1964. She started out on a bit role in Ryan's Hope, and then starred in several plays such as Prelude to a Kiss. Big acting gigs soon followed in movies like Bullets Over Broadway and The Client, starring with Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones. Her acting efforts have been rewarded with Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony awards trophies.

Nancy Botwin is portrayed by Mary-Louise Parker on Showtime's dark comedy series Weeds. Left with a family to raise by her lonesome after her husband's sudden death, Nancy resorted to become a pot dealer to support herself and her children.
