'Mamma Mia!' Continues International Dominance
The musical film Mamma Mia!, which stars Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan, continues its strong run in international box offices.  Currently being screened in 49 countries, it raked in $15.3 million last week, bringing it to its fourth straight victory in the foreign tills.

Contributing to the film's success are its successful premieres in Russia, Ukraine and Malaysia, as well as continuing strong sales in Korea and the United Kingdom.  With the film yet to premiere in Italy and Japan, it is expected that Mamma Mia! will continue to rake in high earnings from the international market, which is already pegged at $356.4 million.

Also successful is the latest Pixar/Disney release WALL-E, which earned $11.1 million in 39 countries this week.  The second place ranking was buoyed by number one premieres in Germany and Switzerland, and strong runs in Australia and New Zealand.

Filling out this week's top five is the comedy Tropic Thunder, which earned $7.5 million; The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which earned $5.6 million, and Wanted, which earned $4 million, all this week.
