Prosecutors are set to drop charges against
W. stars
Josh Brolin and
Jeffrey Wright, over an altercation in a bar in Shreveport, Louisiana. Blair Berk, an attorney for the actors, reported that prosecutors in the city agreed to drop the charges provided that both Brolin and Wright pay $130 each in court costs.
The charges were brought forward after Brolin and Wright were charged with interfering with police officers after a disturbance in a bar in the city in July 2007. The actors were with crew members for W., which was shooting in the city. One crew member started a fight and was asked by police to leave. Both actors were pepper-sprayed by police in the resulting scuffle, with Wright also getting shocked from a Taser weapon.
Five other crew members were charged with interfering with police officers, but their charges will also be dropped, and will instead be replaced with less serious misdemeanor charges.
