On October 18, a special preview episode of the series will air at 10pm, after a new episode of CSI.  The pilot episode will then be aired on Sunday, October 21, at its regular timeslot of 8pm.

Two reality series, Kid Nation and Survivor: China, will be kicking off CBS’ fall television.  Kid Nation, a new reality series that features an ideal society formed by a group of children in an abandoned town, will premiere on Wednesday, September 19 at 8pm.  In the same time slot the following night, Survivor: China, the 15th installment in the popular reality series, is set to premiere.
Among the other CBS shows that are premiering in September are 60 Minutes, Cold Case, Shark, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Rules of Engagement, NCIS, The Unit, Cane, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, Numb3rs, Crimetime Saturday, 48 Hours Mystery, and all three CSI series.

All of the shows listed above are returning series, with the exception of Cane, Moonlight and The Big Bang Theory, which, like Viva Laughlin, are new productions.

Based on the popular BBC original series, Viva Blackpool, Viva Laughlin is a musical dramedy that stars Lloyd Owen (Miss Potter), Carter Jenkins (Life is Ruff, House), D.B. Woodside (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 24), Ellen Woglom (The O.C., Cold Case), Eric Winter (Brothers & Sisters, Wildfire) and Madchen Amick (Kidnapped, Freddie).  The show’s recurring cast includes Hugh Jackman (X-Men trilogy), Melanie Griffith (Twins) and P.J. Byrne (The Game, Boston Legal).
