Now that she's finished her business in High School Musical, Vanessa Anne Hudgens has been branching out - maybe a little too much. In an interview, the young actress confessed that she's probably ready to do a nude film role. The only problem is that this could take her years before she'll step out of her so-called good girl image.
The 20-year-old Disney celebrity admitted that she will only agree to strip onscreen if the movie "calls" for it. During the Diesel Only the Brave cologne launch party in West Hollywood, she told E! Online about not having qualms regarding going naked for a role.
"I will show nudity in a film when the time is right," Hudgens said. "Right now, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it, but if it's an amazing movie that I'm really passionate about and that's what it calls for, then we'll see."
It isn't the first time the actress bared her body to the world. While it was accidental, Hudgens already shocked the public once when controversial nude photos of hers got leaked online. It was in 2007 that her full-frontal pictures caused havoc, but the issue was soon buried and forgotten.
They were intended for her 21-year-old boyfriend Zac Efron, who was absent during the Diesel event. While he hasn't issued a statement regarding her naked film roles comment, it looks like he won't be able to do anything about it.
Apparently, the Hollywood couple has been veering towards leaving the squeaky clean
High School Musical phase of their lives. Last March, Efron was just in an eyebrow-raising photo shoot with nude model Edita Vilkeviciute for Interview magazine. The two were depicted rolling around in the mud together, which is far from Efron's family-friendly flick roots.
Well, it's not like they can stay Disney kids forever. Hudgens will be starring in two upcoming films this year, the "Beauty and the Beast" retelling titled
Beastly, and Zack Snyder's all-girl feature
