'Up All Night' Season 1 Preview Guide: NBC's Next Hit Sitcom?
This fall, NBC is launching Up All Night season 1, a comedy series about the woes of parenting. Reagan (Christina Applegate) and Chris (Will Arnett) are new parents with a lot to learn. She is insistent on keeping the fast-paced life she managed before the baby, and returns to work with her demanding talk-show host boss, Ava (Maya Rudolph), while he stays home to take care of their new bundle of joy.

What to Expect on Up All Night Season 1

The plotline itself doesn't have much of a pull to it, but the iconic producers and talented cast vouch for a show that is definitely worth watching. Up All Night is the brainchild of Emily Spivey, writer for Saturday Night Live and Parks and Recreation. She and Lorne Michaels, one of the executive producers whose repertoire is filled with such television and movie gems as Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, bring NBC viewers a new sitcom overflowing with witty lines and ridiculous scenarios.

Up All Night season 1 also boasts two scintillating cast members as its stars. Arrested Development fans will remember the integral part that Gob Bluth (Will Arnett) played in the raw hilarity of the show, and are excited to see what he will bring to season 1 of Up All Night. Christina Applegate may have taken a bit of a downturn with Samantha Who?, but if her comedy in this show is anything like it was in The Sweetest Thing, it's sure to be a hit.

NBC comedies have always been my favorite, including the likes of 30 Rock and The Office. I'm excited to see what they have in store for us in Up All Night season 1, premiering with a series preview September 14 at 10pm, and then airing Wednesdays at 8pm.
