Spoiler Alert: 'Up All Night' Sleep-Deprived Spoilers
Babies don't make good television: just an incredible amount of human waste and supersonic banshee cries. That's just the general rule of thumb (slightly tweaked a little) in the cases of television and real life. Yet the show Up All Night is completely crafted around this idea that babies are actually great if they have likeable leads. Say, a baby, Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph?

Up All Night
spoilers dead ahead! Turn around if you're wary of being spoiled.

It seems that Up All Night has an established core four from the get-go: Reagan (Christina Applegate), Chris (Will Arnett), baby Amy and family friend Ava (Maya Rudolph). But over the course of the first season, viewers will be introduced to the dreaded extended family. So what does that mean for our lovable TV family who stays Up All Night? A crazy great aunt? A desperate singleton sister/sister-in-law? Maybe, but I am just speculating.

The truth (or verifiable truth/spoilers) is that Baby Amy is going to see her grandfather again! She may not remember it, but she'll appreciate it one day. Isn't that what they say?

Those who will remember it are less than lucky. Reagan's father is a psychologist who is quiet, distant and of course analytical enough to be played by The West Wing vet Richard Schiff! Oh, and this role might be recurring. We all need a little Toby Ziegler back in our lives! Can't you just imagine the hilariously awkward scenes between Will Arnett and Richard Schiff?

In career woman news, the show seems to be sticking to the Maya Rudolph bit of the show (who was actually upgraded to series regular after the pilot and revamped to be a talk show host). Though the show is focused on a couple and raising their baby, self-absorbed friend and boss Ava is also getting some screen time when a new love interest is introduced! He is described as a clean cut and attractive single dad. Casting suggestions? Too late--My Name Is Earl and Memphis Beat star Jason Lee has signed on! You've just been spoiled. I couldn't be happier to spoil you with such treats.

Well, that's that for spoilers. So what do you think of the casting on Up All Night? Anyone else excited to see Richard Schiff battle it out with Will Arnett? How happy are you to see Jason Lee back on NBC again? Any suggestions for other crazy family members who need to see baby Amy? Unleash your obsessions in the comments!
