Malese Jow was born Elizabeth Melise Jow on February 18, 1991. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native is half-Chinese and part-Cherokee Indian. She has performed at the Cherokee National Festival and at the Grand Grove Opry Playhouse. Jow moved to Los Angeles with her family to pursue an acting career, and she was scouted to appear in commercials and other ads. The actress had appearances on shows like The Brother’s Garcia.

Geena Fabiano is played by Malese Jow on Nickelodeon’s television series Unfabulous. She is Addie’s best friend. Geena is a confident, spunky girl who absolutely loves to wear the shortest of skirts.
