Ugly Betty spoilers of the 12th episode of the season.
“Odor in the Court” finds Claire Meade (
Judith Light) as she goes to trial for the murder of her late husband's mistress Fey Sommers. Hilarity ensues as something stinks in the courtroom: Betty's new perfume.
Betty's (
America Ferrera) new scent is driving Henry (
Christopher Gorham) wild and Betty crazy, literally, after she unknowingly starts to use a deadly perfume concocted by the late Fey Sommers and begins acting very strangely.
While Meade matriarch Claire goes on the stand for Fey's murder, a vindictive Amanda (
Becki Newton) holds back vital information, and Wilhelmina (
Vanessa L. Williams) takes steps to become a member of the Meade clan.
Joining the cast and crew of
Ugly Betty on this episode are Alec Mapa and Barry Bostwick. Mapa, who guest stars as fashion reporter Suzuki St. Pierre, is a Filipino-American comedian who is noted for his role on
Desperate Housewives as Gabrielle's gay best friend Vern and has made history as the first Asian gay regular on a sitcom as Adam Benet on the comedy
Half & Half.
As for Bostwick, he is slated to appear as attorney Roger Adams on
Ugly Betty. Bostwick is most famous for playing Brad Majors in the 1975 cult classic
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, as well as the mayor in the sitcom
Spin City.
So far,
Ugly Betty has three remaining filmed episodes, including tonight's "Zero Worship" and next week's “Odor in the Court.” The last episode called “A Thousand Words by Friday” is expected to air on January 24.
