A new MODE would be the best way to welcome fans to a brand new season of Ugly Betty, as shown on the recent vodcast of the show.  ABC has just released its third video podcast, taking steps towards the launch of the hit series' third installment.  Featuring cast members Michael Urie and Becki Newton, the clip takes audiences to a tour around the set, in addition to a few surprises along the way.

For those who've faithfully watched the second season, the vodcast doesn't contain any major spoilers.  Urie and Newton delightfully spearhead the excursion, showcasing the newly remodeled offices at MODE.  The sets are now based on the streets and skylines of New York, since the series moved its production from Los Angeles this year.  The two Ugly Betty favorites begin the tour with the “authentic” Big Apple backdrop, leading us to the different changes that the show has undergone.

A lot of things are going on in the set of Ugly Betty, with everyone busy for the next season.  There are several reasons why transformations have been made, and one of them is the return of some beloved characters.

Another thing worth taking note of is the fresh design that Wilhelmina Slater has envisioned for the company.   Yes, she's back, and the hosts have managed to interview actress Vanessa Williams as well.  The actress has garnered numerous accolades for her portrayal of the character, including two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, in 2007 and 2008.  On the vodcast, she mentions that she is also proud of another experience, her May 2008 graduation from Syracuse University.

With new developments taking over Ugly Betty, fans are definitely in for some fun.  There are babies about, slow and sweet dance moments, and even sledgehammer-wielding bosses.

So sit back and relax, imagine yourself on the fabulous new office chairs of MODE and watch the amusing vodcast below.  Also, be sure to marvel at the lack of all the orange on the Ugly Betty set.  It's one thing worthy of attention, and could just reveal what twists season 3 has in store.
