As we near the finale of
Ugly Betty, we didn't expect the introduction of a new romance for our protagonist. However, a young and dashing playwright has Betty (America Ferrera) smitten and we can't do anything to stop that.
Read: Aaron Tveit Plays it Up on Ugly BettyTonight's episode is called "All the World's a Stage," where we get to see Justin (Mark Indelicato) perform for acting class. He obviously loves the theatre, especially since it's being headed by the renowned yet eccentric Lena Korvinka (guest star Carol Kane).
While there, Justin meets new friends and does his best to make it big in the small town stage. However, he ends up getting stuck in an unpleasant and surprising triangle with his pals Austin and Lilly.
Thinking there may be a problem, Betty drops by to check up on him. Unfortunately, she's sidetracked by the passionate playwright named Zachary (guest star Aaron Tveit). She's assigned to profile him for Mode, but the two end up dating instead.
This leads our heroine into an even deeper mess as Daniel (Eric Mabius) sees how she's getting along with Zachary. Dating the playwright is jeopardizing her job, not to mention her principles.
Meanwhile, Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) is sent to the hospital. She struggles with a perforated ulcer and the lack of action in the infirmary, doing whatever it takes to avoid getting bedridden. But when her roommate Roberta (guest star Dana Ivey) gets her talking, our Mode mistress has an epiphany that could just change her life.
You can catch the trailer for "All the World's a Stage" below. Despite the painful reminder it gives us about
Ugly Betty having five episodes left, it's still a laugh. Watch out for the part where Marc (Michael Urie) blames Betty's newfound good taste for Willie's ulcer.
Also starring on tonight's episode are Ryan McGinnis and Jordan Baker from Justin's acting class. Additionally, Michael Genet will be portraying Dr. Thompson and treating Wilhelmina in the hospital.
