'Ugly Betty' Actress Weds 'Crossing Jordan' Actor
Rebecca Romijn, one of the stars of ABC’s hit series, Ugly Betty, recently tied the knot with actor Jerry O’Connell.  The pair was engaged for nearly two years before finally exchanging vows on Saturday, July 14.  The “intimate ceremony” was held at Romijn’s ranch outside of Los Angeles, according to her publicist, Lewis Kay.

Around 100 guests were present at the wedding, despite the terribly warm weather.  US Weekly reported that among the guests were O’Connell’s brother and fellow actor, Charlie, and the couple’s two dogs.

The Ugly Betty star wore a white floor-length Ralph Lauren gown, which she accentuated with the finest jewelry from Neil Lane.  O’Connell, who stars in the NBC crime drama Crossing Jordan, was dressed in a tan suit.  According to US Weekly, a gospel choir provided music for the newlyweds and their guests.  The western-themed reception featured a barbecue, a real wagon and hay bales.
This is the second marriage for Rebecca Romijn, who was previously wed to ER actor John Stamos.  Romijn and Stamos were married for six years, but had no children.  Shortly after their divorce was finalized, the 34-year-old actress and O’Connell announced their engagement.

As for Connell, the 33-year-old actor was once engaged to television personality Giuliana DiPandi, but the pair never made it to the altar.

Rebecca Romijn first met O’Connell on the set of the romantic comedy, Man About Town, in 2004, but they did not start dating until that fall.  Aside from sharing credits on Man About Town, they also appeared together in the 2006 romantic comedy, The Alibi.  O’Connell also guest-starred in Ugly Betty as Joel, a guy who pretends to be interested in Romijn’s character, Alexis Meade, all the while knowing that she is a transsexual.

Ugly Betty
will return for its second season in the fall.
