Michael Urie was born on August 8, 1980 in Dallas, Texas. He studied at Plano Senior High School. In the pursuit of acting, he won an award for a dramatic interpretation with his piece "Confessions of a Nightingale" at the Forensic League National Tournament. Later, he appeared in Uptown Girls. Now, he is part of the television series Ugly Betty where he plays Marc St. James.
Marc St. James is the openly gay assistant of Wilhelmina. He is extremely loyal to Wilhelmina and is willing to do everything for the success of his boss. He simply adores Desperate Housewives and Project Catwalk.
