Ana Ortiz was born on January 25, 1971. As a child, she wanted to be a ballerina, but after an injury, she decided to aspire for something else. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuradia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she graduated. Her TV credits include NYPD Blue, Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and Boston Legal. Currently, she portrays Hilda Suarez in the TV show Ugly Betty. Hilda Suarez is Justin's mother and Betty's sister. This former Miss Teen Queen enjoys a good sale and going to the salon.
