UFC

Tonight on The Ultimate Fighter, we may have seen the the eventual Ultimate Fighter winner.  CB Dalloway looks like he has exactly what a UFC fighter needs.  He is extremely proficient technically.  He was an All-American wrestler in college.  He also has a huge ego.  He is confident almost to a fault.  I'd be willing to argue that this is very important for an MMA fighter.  Tonight's Ultimate Fighter featured the final first round fight, plus the fight announcements for the Quarterfinals. 

After the Cale Yarbrough/Patrick Schultz fight, Rampage yells at Griffin.  He's mad at the decision that kept Schultz from getting a third round against Cale.  Forest, pissed that Rampage called him out after Cale's win, breaks down the door to his room with his bare hands.  After awhile he cools down.

The final fight of the first round is CB Dalloway versus Nick Klein. Team Rampage really thinks CB is going to dominate Nick.  Nick is really nervous before his fight, but he says that it's OK because he gets nervous before every fight.  Dalloway is an All-American wrestler.  Before the fight, Klein even says that he thinks he's the weakest link on Team Forest. 

Team Forest finds a net gun, like they use in riots.  They decide to stun Rampage and use it on him.  That is probably not a good idea.  They net Rampage while he's sitting on the octagon fence, and he takes it like a good sport.  But, he's not too happy about it later.  He's kind of joking, but he's also pretty pissed.  He thinks Forest went too far.  He's going to retaliate. 

CB has only been training in MMA for the past year, but he's been wrestling since he was 5 years old.  The kid's got a lot of potential.  Rampage says that CB has the most skills of anyone this season, but he's got a huge head.  This becomes clear when CB refers to himself in the third person in the interview.  In sparring, he even makes Rampage tap out. 

Nick's teammates talk him up.  They call him underrated, and call CB overrated.  They say all the pressure is on CB and there's no pressure on Nick.  Still, Klein seems nervous.


Nick Klein vs. CB Dalloway 

Round 1:

Nick takes CB to the ground at the beginning.  Bad decision.  CB goes nuts, starts wailing away.  He hits Nick illegally in the back of the head a few times, gets a warning, but from there it's all CB.  Nick, to his credit, takes it pretty well for a couple minutes.  The entire round is spent with Nick eating a ton of punches.  Nick stays alive though, somehow, and lives to see the second round. 

Round 2:

The fighters trade some standing kicks and punches, nothing lands hard, and then CB gets it to the ground again, in top position.  After some moving around on the ground, CB ends it with a guillotine.  Nick taps out. 

 
To choose the match-ups for the next round of fights, Dana White had all of the remaining fighters come into the office with Forest and Rampage and say who they want to fight and why. 

After the conferences, Dana White announces the fights.

Quarterfinal Fights:

Jesse Taylor vs. Dante Rivera

Amir Sadollah vs. Matt Brown

Dan Cramer vs. Tim Creduer

CB Dalloway vs. Cale Yarbrough
