The Ultimate Fighter 7: Episode 11 Recap
This season has gone fast, hasn't it?  In a far more accelerated TV schedule than fans of The Ultimate Fighter are used, most episodes featured two fights, as opposed to the strict one fight per episode mandate of previous seasons.  Perhaps the UFC editors didn't find these season's crop of fighter's all that exciting, maybe it was just a little experiment by Dana White and/or SpikeTV.   Tonight's episode featured the first semi-final fight of the season, between Tim Credeur and Jesse Taylor.

The episode begins with the annual Coach's Challenge.  This year, everyone goes to the Hardwood Suite at the Palms.  Rampage and Forest are going to play HORSE for $10,000.  The winning team's share is $1,000 each, but Dana lets Quentin shoot a three pointer – if he makes it, the share is doubled.  Despite the fact hat Quentin is a terrible basketball player, he makes the shot.  Forest, on the other hand, played ball in high school.  Forest, in the game of HORSE, destroys Rampage.

Guess what?  Back at the house, everyone got drunk, especially Jesse.  Chaos ensued.  Weird.  Jesse ends up being in his pants.  In the hallway.  On purpose.

Both Tim and Jesse have a lot, emotionally, on the line for this match.  Tim was going to quit, but his wife egged him on, told him to keep fighting.  And, so he has.

Jesse Taylor vs. Tim Credeur

Round 1:

The round begins with Jesse immediately taking Tim to the ground.  He lands a couple punches in top position, but Tim defends fairly well.  Jesse is able to connect with a few elbows, and Tim looks like he's struggling a little bit.  He intermittently lands some elbows and Punches, Tim doing little to defend himself.   The entire round is literally spent with Jesse on top, wailing on Tim.  Tim survives into round two.

Round 2:

Ten seconds in, we're back to where the first round ended: Jesse on top position on the ground.  Tim's face looks on the verge of exploding.  Two minutes in, Tim gets top position.  He loses it about 45 seconds later, having landed nothing of worth.  Jesse lands a few more elbows, Tim looking gassed.  The round ends and, once again, it was all Jesse.

Round 3:

15 seconds in, we're back on the ground, Jesse on top again.  Tim almost gets an arm bar a couple minutes in, but Jesse slithers out of it.  HE regains top position.  The rest of the round is largely uneventful.

Jesse Taylor wins.
