Joe Lauzon Biography:
Joseph “J-Lau” Lauzon is a lightweight and mixed martial arts fighter from Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Weighing in at 145 pounds, he is affiliated with Reality Self Defense, and his statistics include a remarkable 14 wins, which consist of 3 technical knockouts and 11 submissions, and 3 losses, which consist of 1 technical knockout and 2 submissions. In February 2004, Mass MMA named him Fighter of the Month, and in April 2006, he competed in the World Fighting League, where he beat three fighters in a single night and was consequently given the title of WFL Grand Prix Champion. Lauzon first fought in the UFC arena during UFC 63, where he went up against former and last UFC lightweight champion Jens “Little Evil” Pulver. Lauzon was able to defeat Pulver with a technical knockout, which he delivered 48 seconds into the first round of the fight. Lauzon is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he majored in Computer Science, and currently works as a network administrator.
In 2007, Lauzon signed up to compete in the Octagon Ring on SpikeTV's The Ultimate Fighter 5.
