Billy Miles appears as one of the competing fighters in the Spike TV network’s mixed martial arts contest reality series The Ultimate Fighter: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra. He is 29 years old, and has an MMA record of 2-1. Miles is a native of Loomis, CA, though he has undergone most of his extensive training in Roseville, CA. He works as a Youth Correctional Counselor in California, and was inspired by the performance of UFC veteran Tito Ortiz in the Octagon to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu himself. Miles was previously a wrestling star athlete during his high school days.

His wrestling talents continued to carry over at Sierra College and Sacramento State, where he was an Academic All-American during his years of higher learning. Miles graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State, and went on to earn a Master’s degree from Chapman University. Though he relaxed temporarily from competitive sports after completing his studies, he still continued to keep himself in shape with a regimen of weight training. He eventually grew interested in mixed martial arts and started training once more, joining up in several local tournaments. Miles believes that his wrestling skills are his strong point.
