Exclusive Interview: Dorian Price, 2nd Eliminated Fighter on 'The Ultimate Fighter 6'
Dorian Price has a lot of potential.  This much is exceedingly clear.  If you watched the second episode of The Ultimate Fighter 6, you saw the confidence that MMA and UFC legend Matt Hughes had in the Muay Thai fighter.  There was even a moment when Hughes and his coaches were cackling to each other about how no one had any idea what Dorian would be bringing to the table in his fight against Matthew Arroyo.  Unfortunately for Dorian, Arroyo took him to the ground early in the first round and, frankly, dominated Price until he was tapped out via rear naked choke.  Dorian Price appeared to be one of the better guys in the house, likable and completely into training and learning from his coaches.  He was kind enough to stop by last week and talk to us about his time on The Ultimate Fighter 6 and what he has coming up in the future.

Below you will find the full mp3 audio of the interview.

Some of the highlights from Dorian's interview:

Dorian started Muay Thai fighting about ten years ago. He even traveled to Thailand to ply his trade.

Dorian says he was kind of conned into trying out for The Ultimate Fighter by his management. He readily admits that he wasn't ready for the high level of competition on The Ultimate Fighter, especially his ground game. He can compete with anyone while standing up. So, he sent in his video to UFC and they liked what they saw and he was chosen to compete on The Ultimate Fighter.

Dorian says that he sand bagged his evaluation day, so he'd be picked late and be considered one of the worst fighters on the show. This way, he might get a favorable first round match-up and catch his opponent by surprise. Matt Hughes mentioned this last episode, when he said that Price had a poor evaluation day. I actually believe Price in this instance. He's a clever dude.

Dorian is currently training with his one-time opposing team captain, Matt Serra. This is great news for Dorian's future. If he can shore up his ground game, he could become a big name in MMA. I'm rooting for him.
