Cassi Davis hails from Holly Springs, Mississipi and has worked with Tyler Perry for many years. Among their collaborations are Madea Goes to Jail, Madea’s Family Reunion and Daddy’s Little Girls. In 2004, Davis received the “Best Supporting Actress” award from the NAACP Theater Award Committee’s Los Angeles Chapter.

Ella Payne, played by Cassi Davis on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, is the loving, religious queen of the predominantly male Payne household. She is hospitable to everyone and often helps those who have fallen on hard times.
