I'll say it.  Emilio Estevez should be more famous than his brother.  However, while Emilio's acting career has more or less dwindled into oblivion (this may be by choice, but still), brother Charlie Sheen is the highest paid actor in television (he'd probably be the highest paid person on TV if it wasn't for that limey curmudgeon Simon Cowell).  Emilio was an original member of the Brat Pack, starred in The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire, had a resurgence in the nineties with The Mighty Ducks, and has since faded away.  He wrote and directed his pet project Bobby a couple of years back, to solid reviews, and he's got a new movie he's going to write and direct, called The Public, slated for next year.  However, he's decided to go in front of the screen again, and he'll do it alongside his brother Charlie.  It was announced today that Emilio Estevez will guest star on an episode of Two and a Half Men later this season. 

Emilio will play a former drinking buddy of Charlie who comes to visit on Two and a Half Men.  In addition to Estevez, Two and a Half Men has another guest star lined up for later this season.  James Earl Jones will play the official who oversees Charlie's funeral.  You read that right.  Details have yet to be revealed, but it will likely be a fantasy sequence or a dream.  Just rest assured – they will not be killing off Charlie.  The episode in question is called “Death.” 

When I was a kid, one of the movies I seemed to watch repeatedly on HBO was Men at Work.  The film starred Estevez and brother Charlie as garbage-men.  They got into a lot of trouble. I loved that movie.  Estevez also wrote and directed the film.  Looking at his filmography, it's hard not to be impressed by Estevez's career.  He's been a famous actor, and has written and directed on film and in television.  It's almost like Two and a Half Men is a step down for him (oh, never-mind – I just remembered D2: The Mighty Ducks).
