I never thought the day would come that someone will replace someone on the
Twilight movies. I mean, you can't replace Robert Pattinson with another actor in the middle of the films, for example. But that just happened: when
Eclipse hits theaters in roughly eleven months' time, expect someone else to play Victoria.
Rachelle Lefevre is leaving the
Twilight series as Victoria, and Bryce Dallas Howard is stepping in to replace her. No official announcement yet, it seems, as
Entertainment Weekly is quoting sources from within Summit Entertainment. But it does seem that Howard--daughter of filmmaker Ron Howard, and star of
The Village,
Spider-Man 3, and most recently,
Terminator Salvation--is coming in to take over the role when
Eclipse begins shooting.
Then again, you can still watch Rachelle (who's slated on the upcoming ABC drama
The Deep End) in
New Moon this November. Personally, I haven't got any complaints, although it's fascinating that Rachelle--a relative nobody before
Twilight--gets replaced by a more established name. Now, to find out why she's leaving...
