Every episode of True Blood is packed with plot, so sometimes it's easy to see where the show is going simple by looking at future episode synopses.

HBO has released official descriptions for episodes 4-6 of season 5 which start July 1, so keep reading to see what's in store.

Here's a quick rundown of what we can figure out about the major plots.

-Bill and Eric go to Sookie for help tracking down Russell, and I assume the "aftermath at the asylum" in the July 15 episode might refer to Russell's current hideout, where he's devouring bodies and regaining his strength.

-Vampire Tara is going to get some good female vampire role models in the forms of Jessica and Pam. And there's gonna be a vamp-girl fight, which is like a regular girl fight, only better.

-Despite being dead, Jesus and his magic are going to play a big role with Lafayette, who will visit his mom (returning guest star Alfre Woodard).

-There are shootings and Sam is involved in the case, which suggests the Debbie Pelt case may be wrapped up sooner rather than later.

-Jason has a "disturbing dream." Hopefully it's on par with Sam's sex dream about Bill, only with Reverend Steve Newlin.

-This whole subplot with Terry and his Iraqi memories isn't going anywhere.

"We'll Meet Again" (Sunday, July 1)

"Eric and Bill have doubts they will survive the search for Russell. Sookie opens up to Alcide. An irate Lafayette unwittingly puts Sookie's life in danger. At Authority headquarters, Roman and Salome continue interrogating Nora about the Sanguinistas - and a possible traitor within the Council. Pam forces Tara to toe the line; Andy and Jason go to a burlesque party; Sam's shifter friends invite him for a run; Terry flashes back to a deadly night in Iraq; Hoyt tests the fangbanger waters; Sookie drowns her sorrows."

"Let's Boot and Rally" (Sunday, July 8)

"With time running short, Bill and Eric enlist Sookie to probe for clues on Russell's hiding place. Unable to deal with the demon magic inside him, Lafayette calls out to Jesus' spirit for help. Patrick Devins and Terry are held hostage in a bunker belonging to their Iraq War buddy Brian Eller. Jason wakes to a disturbing dream; Jessica gives Tara advice on adjusting to vampire life; Sam visits Luna with bad news."

"Hopeless" (Sunday, July 15)

"The aftermath at the asylum leaves Sookie with an eerie sense of foreboding. At Fangtasia, Pam breaks up a vamp-girl fight, praising Tara for her tenacity. Lafayette visits Ruby Jean, who also received a disturbing message from Jesus. Fearing for his family's safety, Terry blames his curse for his troubles with Arlene. Alcide challenges J.D.; Sam offers to help Andy investigate the recent shootings; Roman lays out his plans to take out Russell."
