No one can say HBO's True Blood
doesn't know how to end an episode. Each installment of the series wraps up with a shocking twist or terrible cliffhanger that leaves fans clamoring for more. Last week's episode concluded with Sookie (Anna Paquin
) inviting a stray dog into the house to sleep at her feet, which would have seemed like an inconsequential event on any other show. However, things took a turn for the weird when Sookie woke up in the middle of the night and found that the dog had transformed into a naked Sam Merlotte. With that surprising reveal, the town of Bon Temps became just a little bit stranger.
With only three episodes remaining in True Blood
's first season, tonight's installment promises to be a real thrill ride. Read on for a description and promo for "I Don't Wanna Know."
HBO's official description of the episode reads: "Sam's secret is out, but whether it will bring him relief or regret has yet to be determined. Tara, Jason and Bill all have their own demons to wrestle with (some more figuratively than others), but their assortment of mounting catastrophes is starting to make a merciless serial killer look like the least of Bon Temps' problems."
Last week's episode found Bill (Stephen Moyer
) killing a fellow vampire, which ended up being one of the most delightfully gory things I've ever seen on television. Eric dragged Bill off to stand trial for his crime, which we get a glimpse of in the promo for the episode. Vampire trials don't play out in a courtroom with a friendly judge presiding, but in a deserted area with dozens of bloodthirsty vamps cheering for brutal justice.
"I Don't Wanna Know" will also find Jason (Ryan Kwanten
) and Amy getting into deeper trouble, which comes as no surprise. I'm hoping Jason has the heart to let the vampire hostage loose, though he may have to get rid of Amy to do it. Sookie and Sam (Sam Trammell
) will also have a confrontation over his strange transformation.
