Finally, we can put a name and a face to the crazy vixen of True Blood Season 3. After months of searching, the HBO series has enlisted actress Brit Morgan to play Debbie Pelt, the psycho ex girlfriend of werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello) and the last pivotal role to be filled of the upcoming season.

Brit Morgan is best known for her role as Lacey Thornfield on the ABC Family short-lived drama, The Middleman. Her other credits include appearances on Greek, CSI: NY, and Cold Case.

While Morgan’s Debbie Pelt has been described as “bad news,” exec producer Alan Ball hints that she’ll be a pivotal component of True Blood‘s third season. “She’s going to be in more episodes,” he reveals, “so maybe that will have an impact on [what actress] we can get for her, which is a big question right now.”

Shannyn Sossamon, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Brown and Milla Jovovich are just some of the names that were previously suggested by True Blood fans for the character of Debbie Pelt, considering that the casting people behind the series have made it known that Debbie would be played by a 20 to 30 something knockout and is described as “sporty and spiteful, with black hair.” However, the show didn’t do with a bigger name.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to True Blood fans, though. Ball has enlisted generally little-known actors for the new season, except for Denis O’Hare.
