True Blood has added yet another new face for its highly anticipated third season, proving that it's never too crowded in the crazy town of Bon Temps. According to
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello,
The Beast actress Lindsay Pulsipher has been cast as Crystal, a mysterious and haunting beautiful young woman who shares an "electric connection" with Jason (Ryan Kwanten).
Warning: Possible spoilers ahead!
Based on the casting sides, according to
Aceshowbiz, one of Pulsipher's scenes involves disappearing into the forest after making a connection with Kwanten's Jason. If Alan Ball follows the Charlaine Harris novels, Crystal, who is a werephanther, would later date and marry Jason after getting pregnant with his child. She would also cheat on him with another human but eventually suffers a miscarriage. Her storyline takes a tragic turn when she gets killed.
Pulsipher will be making her
True Blood debut in the second episode of season 3, where Sam's family will also make their first appearance. As of this moment, it is not clear whether Pulsipher will appear in a recurring capacity.
On
The Beast, Pulsipher played Rose Lawrence, a law student and Ellis's neighbor, with whom he shares a romantic relationship. Most recently, she guest starred in an episode of
NCIS as the character Tina Ellis.
Pulsipher isn't the last to join the cast of
True Blood next season. The series is still on the lookout for other characters, including gay Latino Jesus Velasquez, Alcide's girlfriend Debbie Pelt, an elderly woman named Olivia and a couple of bikers, just to name a few.
