Back at Fangtasia, the doctor fixed Sookie so Bill can give her some blood. This season that girl is drinking blood like its water. Bill spends the night to be with Sookie. The next morning she wakes up alone in the bar to find the crazy woman who shot Lafayette. Sookie reads her mind and learns that Lafayette is being kept in the basement, so she demands to be taken to see him.
In the dungeon, Lafayette is still alive and not a vampire, sop the news is both good and bad for anyone who wanted Lafayette to become a vamp. Sookie wants him freed and makes a deal with Eric: she'll go to Dallas for him to investigate the disappearance of Godric if Lafayette is allowed to walk away, scot free. She also wants all expenses paid, Bill as a chaperone and $10,000 because she needs a new driveway. Pam brings up Lafayette, who is still defiant and ballsy as ever.
They drop off Lafayette at his house, and he doesn't want to go to the hospital nor does he want anyone else to know what happened to him. He limps inside, locks the door, wraps himself in a blanket and cries. It's absolutely remarkable that this is the same actor who was so over-the-top and full of joy last season.
Jessica wakes up in the house to learn Bill and Sookie never came home. Without any supervision, she wants to have some fun by going out to Merlotte's where she spies Hoyt. He's smitten like a kitten and stammers and fumbles his attempt at picking her up. He loves her smile and it's fantastic to see Hoyt getting a storyline for the first time ever. He wants to buy her a drink, and she quietly asks for a bottle of B positive Tru Blood. He thinks her being a vampire is just awesome.
They go back to Bill's house where their flirtation continues when he tries to show her how to use a Wii. Wait, Bill Compton has a Wii? That makes no sense, especially because it means he has cooler stuff than I do. They start making out, but Jessica's fangs come out when she gets all hot and bothered. He thinks they're cute and that she shouldn't be embarrassed of what she is. Bill and Sookie interrupt Hoyt and Jessica's make-out session and Bill is not happy at all.
Sam wants to leave town to escape the evil clutches of Maryann, and he decides to leave Terry in charge while he's away. Terry is the most interesting, underdeveloped character on True Blood, and I'm guessing there's a lot more to him than meets the eye.
New waitress Daphne is still terrible at her job, but she makes up for it with sex appeal. The night Sam is going to leave town he decides to have one last bit of fun by morphing into a dog and running to the lake for a midnight skinny dipping session. He's spotted by Daphne who shares some sweet talk with him and decides to take a dip of her own. She takes off her clothes, and we see that her back has a huge three-clawed scratch on it just like the one the monster left on Sookie.
