Heroes may have pulled the plug on Lydia but at least another TV series will be breathing new life to her portrayer Dawn Olivieri. According to
TV Guide, the recently killed Heroes cast member has been cast as a werewolf on True Blood.
Olivieri, who has also appeared on TBS'
My Boys, NBC's
Knight Rider, TNT's
Trust Me, SyFy's
Stargate: Atlantis, and recurred on CBS'
How I Met Your Mother, will portray Janice Herveaux, the sister of werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello). Her
True Blood character is described as a "tough-as-nails biker chick who's somewhat protective of her younger brother. She is also into horoscopes and psychics."
Olivieri is scheduled to make her
True Blood debut in the third season's fourth episode entitled "9 Crimes."
Meanwhile, casting for the role highly anticipated role of Debbie Pelt, Alcide's ex-girlfriend, has yet to be announced. It has been reported that Olivieri auditioned for the said role but she ended up landing the werewolf character.
On
Heroes, Olivieri was introduced as a member of the Sullivan Bros. Carnival, where she was known as the "Painted Lady" for having several tattoos over her body. Her character Lydia demonstrated the complex ability to connect with people and knowing their description and whereabouts, achieved mainly when Robert Knepper's Samuel Sullivan draws their faces in her skin with ink. She was killed off in the episode "The Art of Deception."
