HBO is simply adding up to the hype for the sophomore season of True Blood, and with good reason. The network recently released yet another promotional video for the series' return, after launching three beautifully bloody posters and a sneak preview. Now, the anticipation has gotten even higher.
Below, you can catch the new video for True Blood, wherein a Bob Dylan song has never hurt so good. It has all the makings of a great comeback - from the mysterious atmosphere of the dark woods to the grey fog in contrast to the scarlet blood. The suspense just kills, doesn't it?
All the conflicts that the characters will be facing in season 2 are evident in the promo. There's the clandestine past that Sam has to deal with, which involves Maryann and Tara who are bound by a veil of blood. We see the rest of the characters trying to confront their demons, but there's one we can't help but miss: Lafayette.
While Bob Dylan may tell us that "Beyond Here Lies Nothing," we prefer to believe the contrary. After so much build-up from the network, there has to be something breathtaking beyond this promo video of
True Blood. If you won't believe it, catch the sneak peek of season 2 below.
Created and produced by Alan Ball,
True Blood stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Alexander Skarsgard, and Nelsan Ellis. T he series' sophomore installment will be showcasing new actors as well, including Ashley Jones, Anna Camp and Evan Rachel Wood.
