Newlywed star Nick Lachey and True Beauty host Vanessa Minnillo have called it quits after almost three years of dating. Reps for each have finally confirmed the split to People following a series of breakup rumors and reports, which were shot down by Minnillo earlier this month by asserting that she and Lachey were "very much still on."

"They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," Minnillo's rep told People.



A rep for the former member of 98 Degrees also confirmed the news that Lachey and Minnillo have parted ways.

According to a source, Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, are "still friends. It was the right thing for both of them to do."

Lachey, who is credited for his appearances on Charmed and most recently on One Tree Hill, started dating Minnillo after he released his video "What's Left Of Me" following his divorce with pop star ex-wife Jessica Simpson. As of April 2007, the couple officially moved in together, purchasing an apartment in New York City's Atelier Condo Building, as well as sharing Lachey's other homes in Bel Air, California and Tacoma, Washington.

Minnillo, on the other hand, is mostly known for hosting Total Request Live on MTV from 2003-2007 as well her past reporting as a New York-based correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. She is also credited for her roles on The Bold and the Beautiful, How I Met Your Mother and the comedy flick Disaster Movie. Most recently, she served as a host on the ABC competitive reality series True Beauty, from producers Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks, which attempts to redefine the  concept of beauty by featuring six stunning females and four handsome males who will live together in a spectacular Los Angeles mansion as they undergo a series of challenges to determine who is truly the most beautiful---inside and out.
