Tru Davies is portrayed by Eliza Dushku in the Fox network's supernatural drama series,
Tru Calling. When she was 12 years old, Tru watched her mother get murdered by a mysterious hit man, and afterwards she and her siblings were abandoned by their father, left orphaned and alone. As an older young woman, Tru works the night shift at the city morgue, and is often approached by freshly dead corpses who reawaken and plead for help in being saved from death. She then has the strange power to go back in time to the beginning of the day and try to prevent the deaths from occurring.
