Steven Bradford Culp was born in La Jolla, California on December 3, 1955. He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary. He is best remembered for his role in the CBS adventure show JAG and on Star Trek: Enterprise. He was also cast on ABC's popular show
Desperate Housewives as Rex Van De Kamp. His film and made-for-TV-movie credits include Thirteen Days and Norma Jean & Marilyn. Culp has the distinction for being the first actor to appear in recurring roles in four TV series simultaneously in the 2003-2004 TV season. He played CIA Agent Clayton Webb on JAG; Major Hayes, commander of the MACOs on Enterprise; Speaker of the House Jeff Haffley on The West Wing; and Dave Spencer, Dr. Corday's love interest on ER.
