Texan Matthew S. Bomer was born on October 11, 1977, and his father was a former player for the Dallas Cowboys. Bomer earned his BFA degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He moved to New York after graduating from college and honed his acting skills in the theatre. Bomer was later cast on FOX Networks's Tru Calling. He was supposed to be the first choice to play Clark Kent in the 2006 Superman film, but director Brett Ratner was replaced and actor Brandon Routh was cast in the role instead. His most recent film appearance was in Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
