John Gray, 40, is the owner of Gray Consulting Inc. and resides in Chicago, Illinois. His knowledge and experience in design resulted from years of self-teaching, and even without a high school diploma, he has proven his abilities in design in his hometown. Gray's initial foray was into retail and merchandising, where he shelled out only $25,000 for a furniture store. Years after he established the store, he sold it to someone who did not believe Gray could start a business with that small amount of money. His mostly casual, elegant designs have been featured in numerous publications in Chicago, and he is very particular when it comes to paint and construction.
