Around halfway into Top Chef Masters season, the regular and, some say, more exciting Top Chef goes back to Bravo late August with the premiere of Top Chef: Las Vegas. Bravo has recently revealed the identities of the 17 new chef-testants in the sixth season of Top Chef, three months after it was renewed.

Set to kick off on August 26, Top Chef: Las Vegas will reportedly feature a pretty impressive batch of guest stars, the likes of Natalie Portman, Penn & Teller, Wolfgang Puck, Todd English, Daniel Boulud, Tyler Florence, Laurent Tourondel and Nigella Lawson. Padma Lakshmi is also set to return as host, alongside head judge Tom Colicchio, Food & Wine magazine's Gail Simmons and food critic Toby Young. It was shot at The M Resort Spa & Casino.

"Las Vegas has become a culinary destination - some of the world's best chefs and restaurants are here - so it's only fitting that our newest season was the best yet,"  Colicchio said. "You'll be surprised by the quality of chef-testants we discovered this season. They really raised the bar."

The winner of Top Chef: Las Vegas will get pretty much the same things as previous Top Chef winners, including $100,000 in seed money to help open a restaurant, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the Annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, and the title of Top Chef. This season's winner, as an addition, will also get $100,000 worth of merchandise from Macy's.

Following Project Runway's move to Lifetime, Top Chef is Bravo's highest-rated series.
