Manuel Trevino was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Ever since he learned cooking at an early age, he never stopped. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas. Manuel's cooking abilities were honed when he attended the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. Being a sous chef at Babbo Restaurant gave him the chance to work with renowned chef Mario Batali. Manuel currently resides in New York and works as Executive Chef for Dos Caminos. He says he enjoys bringing authentic Mexican fare to the heart of New York City's Midtown.

Top Chef Season 4, and was the third chef eliminated.
