Lia is a 28-year old, self-taught, executive sous chef originally from Tacoma, Washington. This Tacoma native who now makes her home in Brooklyn, is actually a literature major who found her true calling in the kitchen. She trained and honed her culinary skills at Manhattan’s exclusive Jean Georges restaurant, where she is currently the executive sous chef. As a New York resident, Lia describes her cooking style as eclectic and her favorite simple summer recipe is guacamole.

Lia is one of the fifteen contestants on season three of the reality cooking show, Top Chef.
