Bravo Media announced last week the group's first publication,
Top Chef: The Cookbook. The book will be published by Chronicle Books, a leading publisher in the cooking category, with titles like Michael Chiarello's
Casual Cooking and Weber's
Big Book of Grilling credited to its name. Melcher Media will be in charge of packaging.
"Chronicle Books is thrilled to be publishing the
Top Chef Cookbook. Many of us here are fans of the show---it all began in San Francisco, after all and more than that, we are admirers of Bravo's creative approach to entertainment," Mikyla Bruder, the Publishing Director of Chronicle Books, said. "We know we will have great fun collaborating with them on this exciting project."
The cookbook will contain more than 100 recipes from the first three seasons of Bravo's
Top Chef. Fans of the show will be able to cook up dishes from the Elimination Rounds and Quick-Fire challenges in their own home using
Top Chef: The Cookbook.
Tom Colicchio, a noted American chef and lead judge on
Top Chef, will provide the introductory remarks for the book. Readers will also be treated to in-depth discussions with the contestants, judges and crew that reveal just what goes on in the hit reality show. Additionally, the book will showcase an extensive array of photographs, from close-ups of the competition sites to classic show moments.
"
Top Chef fans are as passionate about the food on the show as they are about the contestants," Jason Klarman, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Digital Strategy for Bravo, said. "This book serves them the best of both, allowing them now to enjoy the show in their kitchens as well as their living rooms."
Bravo Media will be launching the book, which will serve as the official companion cookbook to
Top Chef, in March, the same month that the fourth season of the Emmy-nominated series is scheduled to premiere.
