As we head into the Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars
week 4 results show, things have gotten a little crazy. Those new dance styles proved to be great for some stars. And not so great for others. Here are the scores (out of 40) for each couple:1. (tie)
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough -- 39.5 points1. (tie)
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd -- 39.5 points3
. Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy -- 37.5 points4
. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani -- 37 points5
. Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke -- 36 points6
. Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel -- 35.5 points7
. Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff -- 34.5 points8
. Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas -- 32 points9
. Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- 30 points
Frighteningly, this is a close race. Even more frighteningly, two prove, fan-favorite couples -- Bristol and Mark, Kirstie and Maks -- are at the bottom. This could be a big upset!
Who did we here at BuddyTV choose to go home? According to the oh-so-scientific BuddyTV readers' poll
, 33 percent think Bristol and Mark will go. But with 22 percent choosing Apolo and Karina, 19 percent for Sabrina and Louis, and 15 percent for Kirstie and Maks... Let's just say it could go any direction.
So why don't we find out exactly which direction now? Here come the results...
But before we can get to said results a few important announcements about this episode and those to come:
- There will be no Results Show next week -- Tuesday, October 23. But there will be a performance show on the Monday.
- Donny Osmond will perform a duet tonight with Susan Boyle.
- The group dances will be next week. This season, they will be freestyle dances. We will learn the specific groups tonight.
- Next week is guilty pleasures. That should be fun.
OK. That should do it. Results now.
Oh and yeah. Paula Abdul is still here.
A girl with a gigantic skirt starts off the evening. Because why not?
The first four couples to get their RESULTS are up already!
They are: Bristol & Mark, Kelly & Val, Sabrina & Louis (who actually got Sarah Palin to almost dance last night, apparently), and Shawn & Derek.
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough are SAFE!!!
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy are SAFE!!!
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas remain in jeopardy...
Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel are SAFE!!!
And then Carson Kressley is back! Yaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!
Hey, I like him, OK?
In an actual live performance (usually these Tuesday things are pre-taped), the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers have something or other insanely cool for us. This turns out to be a live performance of "Titanium" while anonymous men with umbrellas surround a ballerina.
The next couples up for RESULTS are:
Emmitt & Cheryl, Apolo & Karina, and Gilles & Peta
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd are SAFE!!!
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke are SAFE!!!
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff remain in jeopardy...
So that's two couples in jeopardy, no matter what the guy with the cue cards/teleprompter wants Tom to say.
Next up in the performances: Cheryl Burke and a bunch of dancers she trained with as a child. That's kind of cool, I guess.
More RESULTS now! Although there are only two couples left: Melissa & Tony, Kirstie and Maks.
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani are SAFE!!!
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy remain in jeopardy...
This makes Kirstie laugh hysterically for some reason.
Time for Donny Osmond and Susan Boyle now. Very dramatic singing and such.
The Teams for Next Week
Gilles and Peta's Team
Gilles picks "Gangnam Style" and is very happy.
Gilles and Peta
Kelly and Val
Kirstie and Maks
Emmitt and Cheryl
Shawn and Derek's Team
Shawn picks "Call Me Maybe" and is less happy.
Shawn and Derek
Sabrina and Louis
Apolo and Karina
And no one picks Bristol and Mark at all. They get stuck on the team that loses a couple. Unless they just go home to make it easy. Ouch.
Back to the RESULTS...
And, wonder of wonders...
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff are SAFE!!!
This means it's either Bristol or Kirstie.
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are SAFE!!!
Which means that
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas have been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars!!!
Who knew it could happen so soon?
Did you expect these results? Are you pleased with the way it turned out? Are you ready to have not one but two performance shows next week instead of any results? Leave your comments below (and try not to celebrate too much -- it's in poor taste. :P )
